"We recently celebrated our kids’ school honors at Santouka Premier at Mitsukoshi, and it turned out to be such a lovely family dinner. Like most ramen restaurants, their ramen is pork-based, so we weren’t able to try their signature bowls. Hopefully in the future they can consider adding more Muslim-friendly options so more families like ours can fully enjoy their menu. That said, we were pleasantly surprised by what we ordered! We had the Karaage Tornado Curry, Kani Cream Cheese Maki, Mango Maki Roll, and Mixed Seafood Furai — and wow, the servings were generous and perfect for sharing. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The flavors were comforting, and the portions definitely made it worth it, especially for a celebration dinner with the kids. The ambiance is also beautiful. The space features Japanese calligraphy on the walls and mostly wood interiors that give off a cozy Japandi vibe — simple, warm, and elegant without being intimidating. It felt like the perfect setting to celebrate a special milestone as a family. We also appreciated the staff — they were accommodating and knowledgeable enough to guide us toward non-pork dishes, which made ordering easier and more comfortable for us. Overall, it was a happy and meaningful dinner celebrating our kids’ achievements. Grateful for moments like this — good food, good ambiance, and most importantly, family time together"
"The service was good—though to be fair, there weren’t many people when we went, so that might’ve helped. Still, the staff were super friendly and easy to talk to. We tried three ramen sets (2 Beef Wagyu and 1 Executive Ramen Set). For me, the Executive Set was the best deal—it already comes with 2 slices of salmon, 2 pieces of tempura, steamed egg, rice, and the ramen. Super sulit! What really stood out for us was the steamed egg. It was soft, silky, and served hot—definitely our favorite part of the meal! As for the ramen, I found it just okay, but my friends loved it. Overall, we left full and happy."
"The food was great! The portion size of the set was excellent as well. Tasted great, no complaints, staff are friendly and accomodating as well!"
"Portions are sizeable even for the sets. They have ramen, karaage and katsudon. The katsudon is a bit pale inside tho. Karaage could use more flavor outside of the breading. Service is ok, except for the ice cream which took 15 mins to serve."
"Located on the 2nd floor of Mitsukoshi, this restaurant served mainly Ramen. I tried the Tonkatsu curry rice, and it comes with one complementary green tea. The Tonkatsu curry rice is nicely presented, and the taste is good. Crispy batter nicely deep fried. I think it's a little dry and overcook, but otherwise, it will be perfect. Good value fir money."
"A Memorable Ramen Experience in Manila My partner and I recently embarked on a quest to find the best ramen in Manila, and I can confidently say that this restaurant has secured a spot in my top three. Let me share our delightful experience at this cozy ramen spot. Atmosphere and Service: We visited on a Sunday evening, and despite the small size of the place, it exuded a charming ambiance reminiscent of ramen joints in Japan. The staff provided attentive service, making our dinner enjoyable. Also they have a little call button for order or the bill. Menu Highlights: The menu was refreshingly straightforward, focusing on their specialties. I appreciated the quick guide that explained the different ramen broths available. We opted for the executive set, which included one side, I prefer to choose Tonkatsu with Shoyu Ramen, and one Wagyu Ramen with Karaage side. Beverages: To complement our meal, we ordered a delicious and refreshing iced tea shake. As an added bonus, they offered complimentary hot tea to cleanse our palates before and after the meal. Prompt Service: Our food arrived promptly, within 15 minutes. It was perfectly timed for our cozy dinner for two. Minor Quibble: The only minor drawback was that the proteins in the ramen and the Tonkatsu didn’t break apart as easily as I would have liked when taking a bite. Overall, our experience was positive, and I recommend this ramen spot to fellow enthusiasts. If you’re in Manila and craving a satisfying bowl of ramen, give this place a try!"
"This is one of the few ramen restaurant in Mitsukoshi - and it was 'ok'. If you are craving for a decent ramen or Japanese food this will fix you - but not that great. This Santouka is their 'premier' restaurant, this means that they offer some exclusive meals like the Wagyu Roast Beef Ramen etc. They offer wide range of original ramen and speciality ramen - the difference is their soup stock and the toppings. They also offer set menu which includes ramen and side dishes which has good portions. Sushi, pao, and gyosa is also available but limited in choices. I ordered soft-shell crab ramen and the salmon tonkatsu. I always wanted to try out the their soft-shell crab ramen - not all ramen restaurant has this on their menu. Compare to other restaurant theirs was generally 'ok' - nothing wrong nothing special. But the salmon tonkatsu is a must try - they almost perfected it - crunchy but not too floury outside and juicy in the inside. The service is great! kudos to all the staff and it makes Santouka a premier. The place is well lit and air conditioned - you can sit quietly and enjoy your food. Overall, this is an 'ok' ramen restaurant in Mistsukoshi - I am expecting more 'premium' ramen restaurant on this establishment as this is the only Japanese inspired mall in the Philippines."
"Nice small restaurant inside Mitsukoshi Mall. Price is okay, I think it maybe on the higher side. Our ordered was okay. See pictures."
